In the commission investigating the energy crisis, Prime Minister Albin Kurti can be called to ministers, but in what he deals with developments of 16, his predecessors are likely to be invited.
Former President Dardan Sejdiu, who has headed the investigative commission himself in the Assembly, expects to have many invitations to acts dealing with the energy sector.
Kosovo energy system management, electricity trading, power plant trouble. So, from COST, Z. RRE, KEK and the people who have participated in the decision-making”, says Sejdiu, announces Klan Kosova.
The opposition plans to invite Ambassador Martin Berisha. This and every other witness, according to the Law on Parliamentary Investigation, is definitely obliged to respond to the commission.
“A put private persons and foreign companies in response is a different issue, but the investigative commission can also by law bring them to the police who invite”, Sejdiu declares.
The Witnesses are also obliged to answer questions, but they have not always gone so simple. The most controversial drama on investigative commissions was the marathon reporting, with clashes and stinging, of former President Hashim Thaci for the expulsion of six Turks from Kosovo, on April 26, 2019.
The law also allows for updateing the list of witnesses over six months of commission mandate.
The two initiatives proposed by the opposition power were adopted Thursday, following an uncomfortable session.
