Haxhiu: Government is putting pressure on MPs for failure to fail Trust Bill

Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy (PDK), Bekim Haxhiu, has said it has exerted pressure on MPs not to vote on the Trust bill. He has now expressed optimism that the way has now been opened for this bill to go to the Parliament's Headship and proceed to the session. “Bill on Commission for Job Boards [...]
He has now expressed optimism that the way has now been opened for this bill to go to the Parliament's Headship and proceed to the session.
“The bill on the Commission for Labour and Transfera budgets has been made in order to put pressure on MPs to prevent pro vote, because in the beginning there are also deputies you know that they have been declared in favour of this bill, but in the Commission there was a five-by-five-and-a-resiliaration vote, and I believe that now the way has been opened for me to deal with this bill and to proceed to the Assembly of the Parliament<1>, he said.
Haxhiu has further said that Kosovo Assembly deputies, should not submit to political pressures, but vote at the session this bill, as according to him it is citizens' request.
“I hope MPs in the Assembly reflect for the citizens' demand and vote on this bill. I hope that not the same thing will happen in the session to exert pressure on MPs to vote against, but to proceed faster for next week and for MPs to reflect, show integrity, not to come under political influence, but to vote for citizens' application”, Haxhi told EO.
Haxhiu added there is pressure on the Kosovo government's despots not to vote on this bill.
There's pressure on MPs from the Government to vote against this bill, I don't understand this pressure of Government and Power, when we know we have government ministers who have pulled the tools from the trust, we have deputies from the Vetevendosje Movement who have attracted tools from the Trust, and it's logical that once they took Trust's money itself, and don't vote that the citizen with the slain could do something like that.
Meanwhile, in terms of the Trust's withdrawal left budget costs, Haxhiu has said that no costs, but rather the withdrawal of means will affect the state budget, but also the citizens' budget. I said in presenting the draft law to the Commission that this bill has no additional quotas for the state budget, rather there is a positive impact on the state budget and there will be a positive impact on the Kosovo economy and there will be a direct impact on the lives of citizens at this time of crisis”.
He further added that we are facing successive crises, so even pension reforms must be considered.
“We are facing continuing crises from that pandemic, energy and now the latter with price and inflation increases and it is necessary to have direct citizen support. I invite both Government and Power MPs to sit down together and make pension reform. It was also said on the commission that the average age of citizens who have means in trust is under 37 years, and it is possible that we will make a pension reform with the model generations pay for their generation, because we only have 6% of citizens over 65 years of age. We have opportunity to do such a thing”, he told Online Economy.
