Through a Facebook post, Haradinaj has said Kosovo's European perspective is without an alternative.

Kosovo's European perspective is unlikely. As a country, we have moved towards meeting the criteria set by the European Union and received the highest marks in implementing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement for years now and years. Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe today is good news for the country. It is vital for us that the European Union open Kosovo's doors in integration processes by liberalising visas initially and giving Kosovo candidate status.
