Volodyr Zelensky held Friday morning a conversation via a video message with George Bush.
I've had the privilege of spending a few minutes talking to President Zelensky, the modern-day Winston Churchill this morning. I thanked the president for his leadership, his example and his commitment to freedom and applauded the courage of the Ukrainian people”, Bush wrote in the Instagram.
Among other things, Bush said President Zelensky assured him Ukraine “would not waver in its fight against barbarism and Putin's bandit behaviour”.
