Among other things starting next week will remove the obligation to wear a mask at airports and during flight aboard the plane, EU authorities announced. The German Health Ministry explained questioned by the news agency dpa that the obligation to wear the mask on the plane is to place national authorities. So this rule continues to be in effect on flights within Germany and on all flights to Germany. As a result, during the opening and landing of the plane as well as the entire flight, a medical mask or a FFP2 mask should be worn. The mask can only be removed while eating or drinking. Children under six years of age are disfellowshipped from this obligation.
