The obligation to wear a mask will continue to be in effect only in countries, where national regulations on Corona predict that. That rule continues to be applied, for example. Germany and Belgium. European Agency for Air Security ESA and EU Health Authority E The CDC has begun to ease directives for Corona protection in air circulation. Among other things starting next week will remove the obligation to wear a mask at airports and during flight aboard the plane, EU authorities announced. But if a plane or destination is still in force for wearing a mask, this rule will also be applied aboard the aircraft.

The German Health Ministry explained questioned by the news agency dpa that the obligation to wear the mask on the plane is to place national authorities. So this rule continues to be in effect on flights within Germany and on all flights to Germany. As a result, during the opening and landing of the plane as well as the entire flight, a medical mask or a FFP2 mask should be worn. The mask can only be removed while eating or drinking. Children under six years of age are disfellowshipped from this obligation.

These reliefs have to do with the latest data on the development of pandemic. Among these data are mainly vaccine figures, immunity created by infection, and the abolition of restrictions on a large number of European states. /dw
