There are still injuries in the factory. They're not evacuated yet, but we hope they'll get out of here. Their situation is severe, they need adequate medical treatment, proper food to recover,” told BBC Captain Svyatoslav Palamar, deputy commander of the Azov regiment.
Food and water problems remain, he said, but the remaining “are trying to prolong what we have as long as possible”.
Besides hoping for the evacuation of remaining civilians, he said that “are willing to fight and do not intend to surrender”.
He said he hoped Ukrainian officials and the leaders of other countries would do everything possible to evacuate our garrison from Mariupo”.
