Ukrainian prosecutors published on Tuesday the names and photos of eight men wanted for war crimes -- including murder and torture -- in the village of Motyzhen. It is believed that some of them had fought in Syria.
They announced there are five Russian soldiers, one is the Russian mercenary of the Wagner Group and two other Belarusic mercenaries.
There were reports of Wagner warriors in Ukraine earlier, but these are the first charges against servant mercenaries.
Founded in 2014 to support pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, Wagner is allegedly financed in Yevgeny Pigozin, a powerful businessman who is very close to Vladimir Putin and has faced Western sanctions. /Periscopi/
