Borrell: We must unanimously decide on new sanctions against Russia

Members of the European Union must reach an agreement on a future package of sanctions against Russia, including restrictions on Russian oil imports, in talks currently held by officials, EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said on Monday. Borrell further added: “I think that this afternoon we will be able to offer the heads of member states a” agreement.
Asked whether plans to include a ban on Russian oil import could fail due to resistance from Hungary and other Eastern European states, Borrell said he “does not think it will be so” and that, according to him, there will be an agreement.
