Through an ZKM media communiqué reportedly Bislim and Djukanovic talked about Kosovo's dialogue with Serbia, as well as co-operation between the two countries.
Kosovo and Montenegro share the common future towards the European Union, for which they are fully engaged in achieving the goals of the European agenda, on this comprehensive path that the Berlin Process envisions. Regional co-operation is one of the ways by which we consolidate the approach of our countries and commitment to good neighbourlyity. Also, Kosovo is committed to supporting the Montenegrin community in Kosovo and welcomes their important contribution to the country's development”, said in the communique.
This communiqué has not been mentioned as discussing the correction of the border with Montenegro.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also spoke on dialogue with Serbia, where he stressed that Kosovo is committed to reaching permanent agreements on various issues, respecting the European Union's best practices and standards. Agreements like the license plates have not been reached due to lack of will and concrete proposal on the other side, reflecting their interest in blocking the reach of this agreement. Kosovo continues to be constructive, creative and dedicated to this process”, the communiqué says.
We recall that Prime Minister Kurti, on the fourth anniversary of the adoption of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro, had said that a new government would come to Montenegro soon and that it could discuss the demarcation issue, unlike the preliminary government, which had pro-Russian elements inside.
Even so, Montenegro's new prime minister, Dritan Abazovic, has said they will not renegotiate the topic of demarcation with Kosovo.
