If they do, NATO will increase to 32 members.
Turkey is rejecting the two countries' applications, accusing them of harboring anti-Turkish extremists.
But Great Britain and several other NATO countries have offered security guarantees to Finland and Sweden, while their applications are reviewed, pledging to help them in case they face aggression.
