At a time when Belarus has expressed its full support for the Kremlin, Minsk is expected to begin military exercises near the Ukrainian border.
In particular, a Belarusic official, Andrei Krivonosov, said that exercises in the Gomel region, near the Ukrainian border, will begin on 22 June.

Belarus plans to deploy special forces units in three areas near its southern border with Ukraine, while Lukashenko praised Russia's contribution to the construction of missiles to strengthen its defence.
Earlier, Lukashenko announced the purchase of S-400 anti-aircraft systems and Iscaner missiles from Russia.
