“I permanently exclude a [political] return”, he told the Chron Zeitung newspaper, news agency dpa reported.
His presentation at a party conference on May 14th will only serve to support his successor, Carl Nehammer, Kurtz said.
Internal politics no longer plays any role in his life, the 35-year-old said, adding however: “I still follow geopolitical developments”.
Kurz resigned from the Chancellor's post in 2021 and then from politics in general.
Kurz now works for American billionaire Peter Thiel in the position of global strategy.
Meanwhile, the judiciary is investigating him, among other things, with the suspicion that he has issued false statements on a parliamentary commission investigating the so-called “issue Ibiza”, a scandal involving senior Austrian officials in illegal acts as well as corrupts.
Kurz said he likes to be on trips, mainly in the Middle East and the US. / REL
