America was told to help sink the Russian ship, Pentagon goes out and denies

The Pentagon says it did not give Ukrainian “specific information” for the Russian ship “Moskva”, sunk by Ukraine in April, thus rejecting reports in American media that the United States was involved in this operation. “We did not provide Ukraine with specific information on targeting the Mokva ship”, said the department spokesman [...]
“We did not provide Ukraine with specific information on targeting the Moskva” ship, Defence Department spokesman John Kirby said in a statement to the media Thursday. “We were not involved in Ukraine's decision to hit the ship or in the operation it conducted. We had no prior knowledge that Ukraine aimed at striking the ship”.
Ukraine claimed it had hit the Russian fleet's important ship with two <x0 rounds <Neptune” in mid-April. Then the ship sank while being transported to the port for repair. Russia says the damage to the ship came due to the munitions explosion on board, not because of any attacks.
“Ukrains have their capacities in terms of intelligent services and can track and target Russian ships themselves, as they have done in this case”, Kirby added. /A2 CNN
