Ambassador Andrei Kelly has declared that under Russia's military regulations, such weapons are not used in conflicts like this one and Ukraine.
According to him, Russia has very strict provisions for the use of nuclear weapons, and this happens mainly when the existence of the state is threatened.
“has nothing to do with the current operation”, he said.
When Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, placed nuclear forces in high alert positions in the end of February, the move was seen as a warning. Putin had blamed West and NATO's éagretion.
However, Defence Secretary in Great Britain Ben Wallace had seen Putin's move as a way to shift attention from what was happening in Ukraine.
