The European Union has placed Russian President Vladimir Putin's daughters on the watchlist of sanctions against Moscow after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, two EU officials have said, writes The Independent, Pryscopi traces.

The EU has blocked travel and frozen the assets of Maria Vorontsova and her younger sister, Katerina Tikhonokova.

This decision comes after the U.S.A. reported that they sanctioned the daughters of the Russian president whose mother is Lyudmila Shkrebneva, former wife of the leader of Russia.
