The EU has blocked travel and frozen the assets of Maria Vorontsova and her younger sister, Katerina Tikhonokova.
This decision comes after the U.S.A. reported that they sanctioned the daughters of the Russian president whose mother is Lyudmila Shkrebneva, former wife of the leader of Russia.
