The Russian troops' progress towards Kiev prompted Turkey last month to move its embassy to Cernivtsi, a town near the border with Romania.
“needed to temporarily shift our activities to the town of Chernivtsi, which became our logistical centre”, the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine said through a Twitter post.

Russia, which has begun its invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, has recently said it will focus its military activities east of Ukraine.
