The Russian troops' progress towards Kiev prompted Turkey last month to move its embassy to Cernivtsi, a town near the border with Romania.
“needed to temporarily shift our activities to the town of Chernivtsi, which became our logistical centre”, the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine said through a Twitter post.
As of today, we will return to Kiev, our home”
Ukraine has said Russian forces are withdrawing from northern parts around the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, and Chernihivi.
Russia, which has begun its invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, has recently said it will focus its military activities east of Ukraine.
