EU Ambassador to Kosovo Thomas Szunyog has announced that they have finished working on supporting the Civil Code draft.
He, through a Twitter post, called on Kosovo deputies who approve this Code, saying he protects the rights of all people in Kosovo.
Today we mark the conclusion of EU support for developing Civil Code drive. I am proud that we have a draft code providing rights for all people in Kosovo in line with EU values. I call on MPs to approve the Code and reaffirm EU support for its implementation”.
The EU says that the Civil Code, once adopted, will guarantee fundamental rights and, among other things, regulate property, ownership, family relations, obligations and heritage issues. It will boost gender equality and boost economic development.
