Great Britain will reopen its embassy in Kiev thanks to Ukraine's extraordinary success and resistance to Russian forces, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced, writes Sky News, records Periscopi.

Johnson made this announcement at a news conference from India where he is staying for a visit. He described this decision as a sign of support for the country and its Ukrainian people.

Great Britain had closed the embassy in the Ukrainian capital in February before Russia began its invasion of Ukraine.

Prime Minister Johnson's announcement came a day after Spain announced it would reopen its embassy in Kiev.
