Security expert: Nothing takes place in the north without the permission of the government of Serbia.

Six attacks on Kosovo police officials have been recorded within weeks in the country's north.

An attack with firearms towards Kosovo police in Zubin Potok was registered yesterday.

In confirmation given by the Kosovo Police on the news.net, it has been stressed that the car police officials are running around with has been hit by gunfire, but that there have been no injuries.

After the attack, a public response came from the Serbian List. The same said they condemned the attack on police officials, while ordering Serbs in Kosovo to refrain from self-resistant.

Security Affairs expert Ramadan Qehaja declared that in northern Kosovo, the security situation is not safe.

He even said that this happens now 20 years, which, according to him, already has an even greater deviation of the security situation, due to the highly provocative and negative approach from official Serbia.

The “Welcome to these recent attacks, which have taken place against the Kosovo border police, is aimed that after a larger security situation audit has been launched there, the last time a special war is fought against the Republic of Kosovo, against police that operate there and on Kosovo institutions in general. So, the special war that has to do with such promotion, so that we can constantly deal with these unusual situations. I think these attacks are intended to destabilise the security situation in the country, so not only in the north but in the whole country and third maybe not last maybe, there is a preparation to see what operational readinesss we are, and at a certain moment to undertake a surprise attack, only to penetrate the Iber River, and to break up the northern part of Kosovo, so that they can put an act ahead of us, before the talks take place or follow. ” said Qehaja for News.net.

According to him, despite the statement issued by the Serbian List, which “ruled the attack on police officials”, these attacks are well organised by Serbia, and as he said in the northern part, nothing can happen “or sêguxon to take place”, without anticipated, or without the order of the Government of Serbia.

Despite statements that the Serbian List is not behind these events that it condemns this situation and others, I remember that these attacks are well organised and towards a centre, and that in the northern part nothing can happen (or scomputon to happen) without predicting, without the government of Serbia. So what we should do in this situation. In this situation, we should have closer co-operation with KFOR and other representative institutions in Kosovo, which function. And which are not numerous but have operational readiness, an opportunity of military action that is up to it, and explain the situation created so each element can be introduced, not only with KFOR but with the highest level of NATO to explain what is happening every day, who organizes these attacks, and what we estimate. And we must seek closer co-operation with KFOR, which should be made aware of everything. So they're for security, to make a safe environment, even to act in that part of the territory, in interaction with our unit.”, Qehaja added.

The expert on security issues in Kosovo said that we should see what operational readinesss we are as a state, namely starting with Kosovo police and beyond.

Qehaja stressed that even the Kosovo Intelligence Agency should always be on the field to provide relevant elements that assess the security situation in the country.

Apart from KFOR, we need to see what operational readinesss we are, with the Kosovo Police, from the border police, the common police who operate there and to the Special Units what they are. And an operational readiness will be created more - in motion, so that we can create our initial actions based on the Constitution and on the laws in power. The KSF needs to be more and more active, regardless of whether we have a limit to entry into that part of the territory, but in spite of that, we must be willing to be done at the right time if this is exercised as a need. So there should be a willingness even from civil protection if this becomes necessary, and AKI must be all in the field alone to provide relevant elements that have to do with assessing the security and political situation in the country.”, he said.

Kosovo police officials were attacked for five times in a row, starting with a stone attack, then placing metal iris on the road where they must go to the workplace, and then throwing grenades.

Kosovo police officers were also attacked directly with AK-47-like firearms. After these attacks, marked days earlier, Defence Minister Jalal Svechla had described they are terrorist attacks, while he said these attacks are coming just after the numerous decisions the country's institutions took to stop the illegal ways Serbs were using in the country's north.

Similarly, Kosovo Police Director General Samedin Mehmeti had stated. He said criminal groups are continuing to organise attacks on police officials.

Mehmeti has said that there were Albanian and Serbian police officers in the previous attacks, while adding that despite nationalism they are Kosovo Police officials.

Linked to these developments, KFOR strongly condemned the attacks, where they expressed readiness to come to the aid of the Kosovo Police whenever it is required.

Unlike KFOR, the European Union focused more on politicians. The EU said it condemns attacks on police officers but ordered Kosovo officials to be careful what they speak about the attacks.

Together to condemn these attacks and demand that they be investigated and discovered became opposition leaders. They had unanimously demanded that the investigation take place to the last point, and that Kosovo police are not at risk during the conduct of their task in the north.
