The President's office on Friday, April 8th, has accepted the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council proposal for the appointment of Blerim Isufaj as chief state prosecutor.
This is confirmed by Klankosova. President Vjosa Osmani's media adviser, Bekim Kupina.
The President's office has confirmed that, given the importance of this process, it is examining and analyzing accepted documentation as well as all the facts and circumstances related to this process.
“The president is in communication with the interest parties, and in the coming days he will meet with representatives of organisations that have monitored the chief prosecutor's selection process to listen to their remarks on the success of this process”.
The first of the state, Vjosa Osmani, has stressed that the proposed candidate must be in integrity.
“The president underlines that the prosecutor's selection process should be creditable and with full integrity to ensure that citizens' trust in the State Prosecutor is not harmed. The president has also stressed that the proposed candidate must meet all legal requirements, including integrity requirements. For further actions, the media and public opinion will be announced in time”.
The process of selecting Blerim Isufaj for the post has been conveyed with sharp reactions from organisations that have monitored this process, including the ambassadors of Quint countries.
