The negative natural extension for the first three months of 2022 shows that Serbia has been without a city of 20898 people.
In January, March 2022, the number of babies was 14 838, and compared with the same period last year, when the number of babies was 14 334, there is an increase of 504 and 3.5 percent.
The death toll in the Republic of Serbia in January (March 2022) was 35.736 and compared to the same period last year, when the death toll was 33.535, there is an increase of 2,201 or 6.6 percent.
If we take the trend for the first quarter of this year, it would be that Serbia would have about 100,000 fewer inhabitants within a year, while for one decade, approximately 1 million bonds minus, and within a century it would disappear altogether.
