Democratic League of Kosovo official Xhafer Tahiri declared that the Constitution must be protected by citizens, as in his opinion power is violating it.
The citizens must protect the Constitution, especially when the Constitution is violated by power. Kosovo has built a democratic standard of respecting the Constitution and of ruling the best Constitutional Court in the region. We as a subject have set the example of respecting the Constitutional Court's decisions in each case”, he said.
And for the government, Tahiri said for a year he violated the Constitution twice.
“However, Kurti Government in this year has managed to break Kosovo's Constitution several times, confirmed by a sound justice of the Constitutional Court. The first case was for the Independent Council of the Kosovo Civil Service, and the freshest case is the Constitutional Act, which proved that Education Minister Arberie Nagavci violated the Constitution”, he has said.
Concerning the Constitutional decision concerning Minister Nagavci, Jehona Lusshak-Sadriu was declared.
She said the Constitutional decision confirms that Nagavci and MAST have violated the Constitution, mixing in education reform under way in Kamenica by former Chairman Central Kastrati.
The Constitutional Court has declared the decision to reshuffle schools in the Kamenica municipality unconvention on April 23rd, 2021, which was taken by the ministers of education, science, Technology and innovation, respectively by Minister Arberie Nagavci. This decision confirms that August has violated the Constitution by overstepping its competencies and interfering with the personal powers of the Kamenica municipality.
Furthermore, the LDK official confirmed that the decision shows that the Government has misused education for electoral gains.
This decision, except that it is non-unconstitutional, shows how the current government has used education for electoral gains. Remember, this decision has been made just in time of campaigning during past elections”, she said.
Lushaku criticised Minister Nagavci, who did not resign.
A minister like Nagavci, according to Lucak cannot lead education.
This minister cannot lead education in which future generations are educated. She's not a good example. Education should be guided by people with credibility and responsibility. So the LDK seeks the immediate resignation of Minister Nagavci”, she said. /Express/
