The US has begun additional training for Ukrainian armed forces at US military installations in Germany. The news revealed the U.S. Department of Defense.
“These efforts are based on the initial artillery exercise that Ukraine's forces have already received elsewhere, and also include training on radar systems and armoured vehicles that were recently announced as part of security aid packages,” said Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby at a conference with reporters.
Kirby said Germany is one of the “approximately three” countries used by the US to train Ukrainians outside Ukraine, but added that it cannot reveal others.
He also said that the <x0-second training extension” will be carried out by the Florida National Guard, which trained Ukrainians before being repositioned outside Ukraine in February, before the Russian invasion.
“The recent reunification of these Florida National Guard members with their Ukrainian colleagues is said to be an emotional meeting, given the strong ties they developed while they lived and worked together before temporarily dividing roads in February,” said Kirby. /abcnews.al/
