In the wake of repeated attacks happening to the Kosovo Police in the country's north in the last five days and after Serbia's recent arms from China, the situation in the country is not seen as quite calm.

In this regard, KFOR's mission in Kosovo condemned the attacks and confirmed their readiness to support the Kosovo Police if necessary.

NATO-led KFOR's “mission strongly condemns the recent attacks against Kosovo Police members. We confirm our readiness to support the Kosovo Police, if necessary and requested”, says KFOR's response to Klakosova.

Furthermore, KFOR urged both sides [Kosovo and Serbia] to act with responsibility and constructiveity.

“We expect all sides to act responsibly and constructively and to refrain from actions that could unnecessarily escalate tensions, negatively affect security in Kosovo and stability throughout the region”, their response is said.

Onward, they [will] KFOR said it remains focused on implementing its mandate to ensure secure environments and freedom of movement for the benefit of all communities living in Kosovo.

We remember that in recent days Kosovo police officers have been attacked in the north of the country with hand grenade, tin and pyrotechnic vehicles.

The attack on them has condemned both the European Union and the US Embassy in Kosovo, where it called for the parties to refrain from actions that could escalate the situation.
