Islamic Co-operation Organisation With Resolution Calls for Kosovo recognition

President Vjosa Osmani has praised the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation for extracting a resolution calling for recognition of Kosovo's independence by member states that have still done so. “E congratulate the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) on the resolution calling on members who have not yet recognised [the] independence.
“E commend the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) for the resolution calling on members who have not yet recognised the irreversible independence of the Republic of Kosovo to do so and support Kosovo memberships in international organisations”, Osmani has written on Twitter.
Osmani has written that he is eager to work with member states to deepen relations.
In the resolution that Osman has published, it is required by non-recognising states to consider recognising Kosovo's independence “based on their free and sovereign rights and also on national practices”.
The resolution also welcomes European Union efforts to advance Kosovo's European perspective until Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is supported. Also, OIC welcomes Kosovo's economic co-operation with member states.
The organisation, headquartered in Saudi Arabia, is the second largest intergovernmental organisation after the United Nations, with 57 member states.
