The horror of that day is almost unimaginable to him.
Nine days after the war in Ukraine, until the fighting flared up, Victoria and her husband Petro had finally decided to leave Chernihiv, north of the country.
They wanted to keep the kids safe. Twelve-year-old Veronica was Victoria's daughter from her first marriage. Her other daughter, Varvara, is only one year old, writes Sky Newsa, broadcasts Clankosova.tv.
As they fled to the outskirts of the city, heading south near the village of Yahidne, the stones blocked their way.
