Meanwhile in Turkish media, such a meeting had made a fuss, since Al-Maliki had declared that Palestine could consider placing reports with Kosovo only if Kosovo leaves its embassy in Israel from Jerusalem.
As it says Haberler. com, during the meeting with Al-Maliki, Gervala had expressed Kosovo's desire for deepening reports with Palestine.
The Embassy's presence in Jerusalem is against international law, Security Council Resolution and the European Union's stance. This violation would not benefit Kosovo's progress towards international recognition and membership in the international community”, Al-Maliki quoted him as saying.
Palestine is a strong opponent of Kosovo's independence. The opposing stance usually expresses their ambassador to Belgrade Muhammad Nabhan, who does not hesitate to mention that “Kosovo has always been part of Serbia”.
The Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 13 March of this year had issued a media communiqué announcing the meetings Gervala had held in Turkey during the Forum in Antalya.
