Citaku: Ambassador Berishaaj Must Be Downloaded Immediately

The “at a time when circumstances beyond us and beyond our control have created a golden opportunity for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe due to Russia's exclusion from this important international mechanism rather than all our political and diplomatic resources to be in the function of the existence of this major diplomatic goal of Kosovo seems to be involved in a connection with the regional dimension”.

Citaku, at an extraordinary media conference, said Ambassador Martin Berishaj must be dismissed and then justice will say its word.

“The government and the presidency are neither judges nor prosecutors. They should take institutional and political steps to dismiss Martin Berisha from his post as ambassador. I tell you with full conviction that from yesterday, Berisha will not be able to protect his duty and unfortunately made it difficult even for our ambassadors in neighbouring countries whose support is necessary for achieving our goals for membership in the Council of Europe”.

The default should not be discussed, then justice will say its word. But we have some more questions here. How did Berisha get citizenship the day before becoming ambassador? Did he go through the security links? Did he check from AKI and how was this verification received?

She insists that Kosovo's approach has the luxury of facing scandals of this nature, while insisting that Martin Berishaaj should no longer hold the post.
