Canada to send 150 troops to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees

Anand has said that a number of Canadian troops will be deployed to support a Polish-led humanitarian task force, while a third group will act as a liaison between Polish defence forces and Canadian immigration officials to facilitate the restoration of the remaining <x0m> to other Ukrainian” in Canada.
“These efforts are being carried out as part of our Operation Security Canada's contribution to NATO security and prevention measures in Central and Eastern Europe, which we expanded over the last several months, said Anand at the Trenton Canadian Forces Base in Ontario.
Canada will engage $396m more ($500 million in Canadian dollars) in military aid to Ukraine, along with $88 million already pledged Canadians (110 million), “so that our Ukrainian friends have the equipment they need to continue fighting”, according to Anand.
Canada is home to the largest Ukrainian diaspora in the world after Russia, with more than a million Canadians claiming Ukrainian heritage, broadcasting CNN.
