Intelligence from the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence has published its latest report on the situation in Ukraine, Periscopi notes.
Putin's decision to block the steel factory appears to show a desire to bring resistance into control in Mariupol and free Russian forces to deploy elsewhere in eastern Ukraine.
A comprehensive ground attack by Russia on the factory seems to cause major losses to Russia, further reducing its military effectiveness.
To the east of Donbas, grants and fierce fighting are continuing as Russia is trying to advance further in the regions like Krasnyy Lyman, Buhayikva, Barvinkove, Lyman and Pupina as part of their plans towards the region.
Despite reconsidering its focus, Russia is still continuing to suffer losses as at the beginning of the conflict. In order to try and reconsolidate their weakened forces, Russian forces are returning their equipment to Russia for repairs.
