Their visit comes after Murphy, Tillis and Shaheen remained for official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
This American delegation's visit to the Western Balkan region has been prompted by developments in Ukraine and the war Vladimir Putin has started there.
During all this time since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, there have been warnings that the region may be Putin's goal of destabilising, and that has alarmed the West.
This was confirmed by Senator Chris Murphy himself through a tweet on April 19th.
Until Russia continues to lose in Ukraine, they will try to create problems in the fragile nearby regions. I am in Serbia, Kosovo and Bosnia this week with Senator Shaeen and Senator Thom Tills to strengthen US ties with the Balkans in the face of foreign efforts to undermine peace”.
