The Government of Kosovo and local Decani authorities are criticised for failing to implement the Constitutional Court's decision on monastery property.
“Authorities have sometimes failed to implement the court's ranks, including those of the Constitutional Court. Several Kosovo Serb representatives have claimed government institutions have failed to implement judicial decisions in favour of Kosovo Serbs, especially in terms of property disputes”, the report says.
The report also says that central and local authorities in Decani continued to reject implementation of the 2016 Constitutional Court ruling confirming ownership of the Serbian Orthodox Church of over 24 hectares of land in the vicinity of the Decani Monastery.
In September, the Constitutional Court stressed that the government has continued to reject implementation of the court ruling and has referred the case to the state prosecution. Until December, prosecutors have not continued criminal proceedings. None of the officials who have failed to make that decision have been sanctioned.” is said in the UN report.
