Former ambassador to Slovenia talks about Berisha scandal, blames Kurti Government for such appointments

Anton Berisha, in a proposal for Periscope, has said the Kurti government has reduced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Diaspora minister and is not dealing with foreign policy.

Berisha has congratulated reports on Berisha to be untrue, meanwhile, has stressed that such scandals are difficult to verify by Kosovo institutions.

I have said before, that this government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has reduced it to the Ministry of Diaspora because it does not develop external influential policies, but only deals with issues of part of the diaspora. Since Minister Gervala himself is a German citizen, the problem lies in principle, that the appointed ones are citizens and citizens of other countries have lived there, and it is difficult to verify their activity. The same can be said about the case of Ambassador Berisha, because the accuracy of the case in question cannot prove Kosovo's institutions, but those of the Slovenian state.”, Berisha has said.

In addition Berisha has declared that he does not recognise governments in the region or in Europe, who have made so many foreign appointments as this of Kurti.

“Personally, both Martin and Kosovo would like such claims to be untrue, but of course that does not depend on our approach to subjects. We have an influx of appointments from the diaspora, the foreign minister, the Ministry of Defence, the Health, other positions, and now being citizens of the two countries then there are issues of competence of which state is responsible, where activity, domain, etc. I am not personally aware that any government in the region or in Europe that has made so many foreign appointments as this one of Kurti's.”, Berisha told Periscope.
