Some 6 thousand Albanians have been removed from the voter's lists because of the settlement's failure. In Serbia's parliamentary and presidential elections, Albanians boycotted the latter. They didn't get the ballot for president. That is because their opinion does not represent them.
Through polling stations in Presevo and Bujanovac, these Albanian-dominated municipalities were seen a small number of citizens vote, about 20 per cent of those registered. Until, they were told that the failure of their settlements is affecting fewer voters and were invited to vote massively.
Albanians living in Serbia competed with two lists in parliamentary elections -- the Coalition of United Albanians led by Shaip Camberi and Albania's Alternative Arifi. Kamberi's list ran the vote for president, while Arifi also voted in the presidential election.
Many Albanians in the Presevo Valley did not exercise the right to vote, Kosovo Serbs were organised and by bus traveled to the Serb to vote in parliamentary and presidential elections. /tch/
