Zelenskiy for CNN: If negotiations with Putin fail, we are in World War III

Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelenskiy said on Sunday he is willing to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but warned that if any bid for negotiations fails, it could mean that the war between the two countries would lead to “a third World War”, the newspaper Express follows. “I'm ready for negotiations with him. I was [...]
I'm ready for negotiations with him. I was ready for the last two years. And I think without negotiations, we can't end this fight”, Zelenskiy said in an interview for CNN.
If there's only 1% chance of us stopping this war, I think we should seize this chance. We have to do it. I can tell you about the outcome of these negotiations in any case, we are losing people on a daily basis, innocent people on the ground”, he said.
Zelenskiy continued: “Russian forces have come to destroy us, to kill us. And we can show that the dignity of our people and our army is that we are able to give them a powerful blow, we are able to turn it against. But, unfortunately, our dignity will not protect life. So, I think we should use every form, every chance to have an opportunity to negotiate, the opportunity to talk to Putin. But if these efforts fail, it means this is a third world war”.
