Turkish President Ibrahim Kalin's spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin, has confirmed the news, adding that Turkey is ready to help resolve the crisis.

Speaking to reporters in Istanbul, Kalin reiterated Turkey's bid to be the host of talks between Ukraine and Russia.

Kalin called for immediate fighting cuts and reiterated that Turkey cannot abandon ties with either Moscow or Kiev. /rel
