The following video can be seen breaking into cover between the screams and the noise of drilling booms caused by grants as they tried to cross the Desna River.
The dramatic footage footage shows the moment when correspondent Alex Crawford and her team are told to come down, diving down to the ground while Crawford tries to finish the recording reporting for the surprise attack.
But she was worried as she described the scene from the screams of a nearby civilian who desperately warned of further fires, forcing Sky News's team to get into the vehicle so they could escape.
The incident comes just weeks after Sky's top foreign commander, Stuart Ramsay and camera operator Richie Mockler were hit by bullets when a car transporting their crew to Kiev was spotted by Russian operatives.
