The Ukrainian girl lost her arm on a Russian attack: I hope they didn't want to hurt me

The young woman, named Sasha, is now in the hospital recovering after soldiers shot her family as they fled a suburb of Kiev.

Her father died in the country when Russian troops opened fire on their car, the rest of the family hid in a basement.

Sasha, who was wounded by the attack, was sent to a nearby hospital several days later by volunteers.

I don't know why the Russians shot me. I hope it was accidental and they didn't mean to hurt me”.

I got shot in the arm. I ran after my sister. My mother fell. I thought it was the end. But she wasn't dead, she was just taking refuge from shooting guns. It was hidden”.

Then I lost my feelings. Someone took me to a basement. I was given a treatment there. And then a few people took me to a towel at the hospital”, Sasha said.
