In an address in the evening hours on March 29th, Zelensky said his state could only trust the concrete results of the negotiations.
He has pledged that Ukraine will not reduce “defence efforts”, as the Russian Army still has the capacity to conduct attacks.
Zelensky has also called for caution against Russia's statements that he is reducing operations near Kiev, saying this does not imply an end to fighting.
“The situation has not become easier”, he said.
Ukraine and Russia have noted progress in the first face-to-face talks after more than two weeks, as Moscow has pledged to reduce military operations around Kiev and northern Ukraine, and Ukraine has said it will accept status of neutral state.
