President Joe Biden authorised on Saturday additional security aid the White House announced, paving the way for the immediate delivery of new military equipment to Ukraine, a senior administration official said.
The Pentagon refused to comment on the matter, referring to the White House and State Department questions. Ukraine has requested more antitank weapons “Javelin” and rocket “Stinger” to bring down Russian aircraft.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dimitro Kuleba, underlined on Saturday Ukraine's need for additional military supplies during an interview with the non-profit organisation “Renew Democracy” The United States has repeatedly supplied Ukraine with weapons from the American weapons reserve, beginning in autumn 2021 and then again in December and February.
