Russian troops are in the southern Ukrainian town of Kherson after breaking into the council building, the city's mayor said at an update late Thursday.
According to the New York Times, the town northwest of the Crimean Peninsula is occupied by the Russians. The city mayor and American intelligence have argued that it has been completely exceeded.
However, Igor Kolykhaiev has confirmed that the Russians have arrived.
In some videos by the Khersson people, however, they are viewed as Russian troops patrol the streets of the city.
