This minister says the large Russian column in the north of the capital has been distributed, and “is likely for an attempt to surround the town”.
The “may also be an attempt by Russia to reduce its vulnerability to Ukrainian counterattacks”, the Defence Ministry says.
Meanwhile, the towns of Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Marioupol and Sumy are surrounded and face heavy grants, the latest report said.
