According to the ministry, the missile was established at 15:57 local time, on Tuesday from the Plesetsk space port in the far north of Russia, which is operated exclusively by the Defence Ministry.
The Z motion has become a symbol for Russians supporting the government's line and supporting the military operation in Ukraine.
It became known after images of Russian military vehicles with a white Z on the side appeared settling in Ukrainian territory.
According to state news agency RIA Novosti, the Meridian M satellite was put into orbit without incident and will be used to facilitate communication between shipping and aircraft.
