The Turkish president has reportedly underlined the necessity of establishing a ceasefire and peace” between Moscow and Kiev “as soon as possible”.
The two politicians agreed that the upcoming meeting of Russian and Ukrainian negotiators will take place in Istanbul.
Erdogan has been named by some analysts as a possible mediator between Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky and Mr. Putin, after he has kept regular calls with the latter since the beginning of the war. /abcnews.al/
