EC President: Place of Forbidden Flight Zone on Ukraine Could Lead to Third World War

European Council President Charles Michel has said setting a no-fly zone on Ukraine is the decision of NATO, but according to him, would be a pressing step, and possibly would disrupt the conflict towards the Third World War. “The EU is not at war with Russia. The reality is that Russia [...]
“The EU is not at war with Russia. The reality is that Russia has launched a vicious war in Ukraine, but Ukraine is not a member of NATO, so we have to be extremely careful. We have to do everything possible to avoid a third international war”, Michel said during an interview with CNN.
“We are trying to provide as much support to Ukraine as possible so that the ceasefire can be reached as early as”, he said.
It was the Ukrainian president's request, Voldymyr Zelenski, to deploy the forbidden flight zone over Ukraine, amid the Russian bombings and unstoppable attacks on Ukrainian cities. So far, this requirement has not been answered by Western leaders.
Michel has said Zelenski's request is legitimate, but this should be well appreciated, before concrete actions.
He has stressed that the West is unified.
“Z. Putin has tried to divide the EU and the US. He failed. He has also tried to prove that we are unable to act. He failed. We took extreme measures and important decisions that directly hit the Russian economy. It's very painful and I believe Putin is really surprised by our potential to act”, he said.
