Osmani: Western Balkans should necessarily join Euro-Atlantic structures

According to President Osmani, peace and prosperity are closely linked and preconditions for a progressive and developed society.

A peaceful and prosperous environment is a key to any society, because it affects all aspects of the social development of a country”, President Osmani stressed. But, according to her, such goals cannot reach any country alone.

“Establishing regional and global co-operation will enable peace and stability, which favours economic development, prosperity and progress”, the President Osmani has indicated.

In this context, President Osmani has suggested that the Western Balkans region should necessarily join Euro-Atlantic structures. Furthermore, President Osmani has said that the only possibility of preserving peace is clear and direct communication, although it says that peace is always threatened.

The “against the extraordinary progress Kosovo has made as a state, but also our continent, today we all clearly see threats to peace and security, which are ongoing and active”, the President Osmani has indicated.

Its discussion, President Osmani concluded with a message of hope for the co-operation of the democratic world for the preservation of peace: “just as the democratic world gathered to end suffering and genocide in Kosovo in 1999, I'm sure we will see it in the case of Ukraine and elsewhere in the world where there is war and suffering”.
