Kurt collects some of the 1981 spring demonstrators

Together with Prime Minister Glauk Konjufca and deputies and deputies of the Republic of Kosovo Parliament, the prime minister hosted the former prisoners and activists' meetings, co-organising of the March 11th 1981 demonstration.
The 1981 demonstrations marked the beginning of a continuous process, which led to the breakup of Yugoslavia and the liberation of Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti said. He stressed that in March 1981 the people demonstrated that they are willing to self-rule and govern themselves, while unabated movements and organisation for the Republic of Kosovo took on new momentum and energy.
During the meeting, the organisation of the mass demonstration was reminded together in response to the violence used to suppress student protests. The great popular mobilization and support from workers were remembered, for the demonstration organised on March 11, 1981 by high school students and students. These demonstrations were praised as a major step on the long, prideful road that brought about the collapse of the former Yugoslavia and the liberation of Kosovo in 1999.
