Kremlin number two: Who is Sergei Shoigu, the man Putin takes even on vacation?

In Putin's war room, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu is one of the most familiar figures. Since Putin's long reign with Moscow, Shoigu represents Vladimir Putin's closest man.

For the Russian writer and security expert Andrei Soldatov, Shoigu represents in the Kremlin much more than the Russian Armed Forces.

“Mr. Shoigu is one of Vladimir Putin's most reliable men, and the man Putin hears the word from”, he says of the BBC a few days ago, Periscope follows.

About Russia's military expert, Dmitry Gorenburg, the time in which Shoigu has spent his duties in the Kremlin, also tells of the complaint as one of Putin's most respected men.
