On November 3, 1999, in Schleeren, Cyril Canton, a 20-year-old from Northern Macedonia had been shot to death. His 22-year-old escort had survived the attack, injured, broadcasts albinfo.ch. During the ongoing investigation, an 18-year-old Albanian was suspected of committing the crime, but the case was closed in 2003 due to insufficient evidence.
About 20 years later, authorities are making an effort to repeat the procedure, writes Limmattale Zeitung.
Cyril Cantonal police are now restarting investigations with a new approach, offering a reward of 10,000 francs, she announced Thursday. One reason for this step may be the fact that, except murder, all other crimes committed in the suspect's environment and the victim are already prewritten (not followed due to aging).
Investigators assume that persons involved in this crime and deliberately interviewed conceal information about their authors and their motives, not to incriminate themselves, sends albinfo.ch. This can now change, given the cause of other crimes' age, hopes Cyril Cantonal Police.
