On Monday, Prime Minister Andrey Plenkov announced the arrival of two American F-16 fighter planes, named after General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon, who will remain for several days to support Croatia's security.
According to a statement from the US Embassy in Zagreb, the US Air Force Command in Europe and the Air Force for Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) use rapid and skilled forces and strategic capacity to respond to threats or aggression along with allies and partners.
“Aleances and our stable partnerships in European and African arenas enable our pilots capable of carrying out our mission as a dynamic coalition force,” said the commander of the coalition USAFE-AFAFRICA, General Jeff Harrigian.
He said that the “direction of our strategic capabilities from each post creates a flexible, flexible force, ready to counter aggression quickly and across”.
By conducting such operations in Croatia, the US Air Force is building partnership skills throughout Southeast Europe and the Mediterranean, the statement said.
